Stockbridge Community Education

Welcome to Stockbridge Community Education.   Our goal is to provide opportunities for emotional, physical and social growth and learning.  We offer enrichment and recreational programs for preschool age through adulthood.  We update this site regularly for available classes.

 Stockbridge Community Schools does not offer high school completion or GED preparatory classes.

Class Descriptions

CASL Travel Soccer League U10-U19  CASL Soccer

Registration deadline:  July 14, 2019 Register early! We are required to submit teams to the League for scheduling in July.

This league is offered through the Capital Area Soccer League for players born in 2001-2010 and will provide a field of play closer resembling what is experienced in High School. Players ages 10-12 may play 9 v 9; Ages 12-19 may play 11 v 11 on a HS regulation field.

  • Practices may begin Mid-August and games will be played on Saturdays, Sundays or Monday evenings starting September 7-November 4.
  • Register early as teams do fill up.  Late registrations are not guaranteed placement.
  • Teams are based on age the player turns in 2020.

Dog Training with Julie Glair

Practically Perfect Puppy I & II Ages 10 weeks to 1 year.

Start your puppy out right with this 6 week class.  Pups learn basic manners while having fun and increasing the bond with their handlers.  Tuesdays, 6:00-6:45 pm, $98 per 6 week session.

Adult Dog Obedience Ages 1 year and up.

This class incorporates basic household manners.  Learn how to effectively communicate with your dog so he/she will come, sit, down and stay.   Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm, $98 per 6 week session.

Fall 2019 NON Travel Soccer 

Wee Wats Pre K Soccer

In house for ages 3-4. Players meet once a week for 4 weeks.  Each meeting we'll focus on skills & drills and finish with a game between teams.    Monday nights September 23 & 30, October 7 & 14.  The time is 5:30-6:15 pm. Price is $25,  includes a ball to keep.  Deadline is September 16, 2019

K-1 Soccer

Practices and games will be Tuesday and Thursday nights.  Players will do drill & skill work for the first half and then divide up into teams to play supervised games for the second half of practice.  Tuesday's & Thursday's September 10-October 10, 4:45 pm-5:45 pm.  Price is $49, includes team shirt.  Deadline is September 16, 2019

2nd-3rd Grade Soccer 

Games will be week day evenings or on Saturday mornings.  Practices begin in early September and will be determined by the coach.  September 16-October 19. Price is $59, includes team shirt.  Deadline is September 10, 2019.

Hunter Safety at Chelsea Rod & Gun Club

Hunter Safety is required by law for anyone to receive his/her first hunting license.  An instrucion book must be picked up at Stockbridge Community Education prior to the first class.  All classes are held at Chelsea Rod & Gun Club at 7103 Lingane Rd, Chelsea, MI 48118.  Classes are both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on dates listed.  Pre-registration and payment required to attend.  Cost is $10.  Dates for this year are September 14 and 15th, and October 5th and 6th. 

Strip Quilting with Rose

The first night you will decide on a pattern and get yardage requirements.  The techiniques taught will enable you to have your quilt top done in 8 weeks.  Color, fabric , batting and backing choices will also be covered in class.  Instructor, Rose Reinhardt.  Choice of class on Wednesday night or Thursday night, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Classes begin October 2, 2019 or October 3, 2019  Cost is $40.  Location of class is at Heritage School, 222 Western Street, Room 113.
