Sporties for Shorties Winter

Pre-schoolers (ages 3 – 5), come learn the basics of 4 different sports.  We’ll use kid-sized equipment and focus on one sport each week.  Instructor Larry Torrey.

Open Gym Basketball Schedule Fall, 2018

Come dressed to play with your friends for an evening of supervised basketball. Parents are welcome, too! Please bring your player to the time according to his/her grade.  This is enforced for safety reasons.  Students must remain in the gym until they sign out when leaving. Locker rooms will not be open. 

Players in grades 3-7                                                                                        6:00-7:55 p.m.

Players in grades 8-12                                                                                 8:00-9:55 p.m.

BASKETBALL

Boys & Girls Grades  K-2                        Due December 10, 2018                                           $40

Players will work on drills and play scrimmage-type games.  Each player should bring a water bottle with his/her name on it. The players will have the chance to play during half time at a High School basketball game. The fee includes a t-shirt. Please be prompt in picking up your player. Supervised by SHS Coaches and players and is a fundraiser for HS Basketball Program.  Heritage Gym, Thurs, Jan. 10–Feb. 7, 5:30-6:30 or  6:45 – 7:45pm

Wee Wats Basketball                               Due January 18, 2019                                           $25

Meet Tuesdays for 4 weeks.  Focus on fun activities that teach basketball skills and drills and if all goes well, we may eventually have “games” between “teams.”  All participants will receive a junior-sized basketball to keep.  Ages 4-5.  Once/week for 4 weeks, January 22, 29, February 5, 12, 2019     6:15 – 7:00 pm  Smith ELC.

Dog Training with Julie Glair
Minimum age for handlers is 14 years.  Vaccinations are STRONGLY recommended. 

Please bring to class:  any collars you currently have, a six-foot, leather or nylon web leash (No chain or retractable leashes allowed), small, soft, easily eaten training treats for your dog. Dogs that display aggression towards other dogs or people are not permitted in group classes. Private training is available for problem behaviors.
Class size is limited, so please register early! All Classes will be held at Smith Elementary School,

January 8 - February 12, 2019

Practically Perfect Puppy I & II
Ages 10 weeks to 1 year
Start your puppy out right with this 6-week class. Young dogs want and need to know their place in your family and with others.  Pups learn basic manners while having fun and increasing the bond with their handlers.
Tuesdays, 6:00-6:45 pm          $86/session

Adult Dog Obedience
 Ages 1 year & Up
“Come” learn how to effectively communicate with your dog so he/she will come, sit, down, and stay.  This class also incorporates basic household manners.
Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm              $86/session

Strip Quilting with Rose -Spring
The first night you will decide on a pattern and get yardage requirements. The techniques taught will enable you to have your quilt top done in 8 weeks. Color, fabric, batting and backing choices will also be covered in class. Instructor, Rose Reinhardt.
