A Special Visit from the Spirit of Alexandria Foundation
The start of the new school year brings with it some reflection and fascination from the year before. Mrs. Fox, Heritage School Social Worker, is grateful for the support last year from the Spirit of Alexandria Foundation for a special visit from the Foundation’s Nature Bus in partnership with Howell Nature Center.
Our grade three students last year were able to enjoy an animal wildlife presentation and outdoor Nature Bus activities for March is Reading Month which aligned with our whole school reading "Wishtree" by Katherine Applegate.
All of this was able to happen with the support of the Spirit of Alexandria Foundation Connecting Children to Nature. Who knows what "March is Reading Month" will have in store for Heritage this school year? If you are ever visiting the building, please feel free to stop by Mrs. Fox’s office in the grade three hallway to admire some of the artwork and writings our grade three students created last year in response to this special experience.
