We'll help you get a head of the game in standardized testing!

The SAT:
The Scholastic Achievement Test is taken by college-bound students and used in admissions decisions at most major colleges around the country- except in the Midwest. The SAT is taken by 42% of high school graduates nationwide, but only by 11% in Michigan. The PSAT is a practice opportunity for the SAT offered to juniors available annually in mid October. See Student Services office for more information.

The ACT:
The American College Test is taken by college-bound students and used in admissions decisions at most major colleges and universities around the country. This is the preferred college entrance exam in the state of Michigan because it is connected to the state's Competitive Scholarship program. Any student who earns a 23 Composite ACT score and demonstrates financial need by submitting their FAFSA no later then March 1st of their senior year is eligible for a renewable scholarship at any public institution in Michigan. The PLAN Assessment is a practice opportunity for the ACT and is administered to all 10th grade students annually in December. See Student Services office for more information.

AP Testing:
The Advanced Placement Tests are usually taken after AP high school courses have been completed. Colleges and universities use the 3-hour exams, consisting of both essays and multiple choice questions, to place advanced students in more challenging classes and to award college credit. Tests are given mostly to 11th and 12th grade students in May.
